Alternative Care Information Sessions
Alternative Care ensures Indigenous children and youth receive in-home care that honours and respects their culture and values. Alternative Caregivers open their hearts and their homes to children and youth who need support. “Whether a child is with you for a day, two days, three weeks, three month, three years or 20 years, you are a part of their journey.” – Alternative Caregiver
Interested in becoming an Alternative Caregiver? Join us for an information session to learn more about the program, including: what your role is as an Alternative Caregiver, what supports will be available to you and children/youth you care for, and how you can best care for Indigenous children and youth in a way that honours and respects their culture and values. Following the presentation, there will be time for Q&A.
There are two upcoming information sessions:
- Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 12:30pm – 1:30pm
- Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 7:00pm – 8:00pm
